THE BRIDE
"...my critics often say that they can't find Jesus in some of my songs"
(Interview mit Dale Thompson, September 2008)

Congratulation
to your new CD.
"Show
no Mercy" was our first recorded in 1986 and "Skin for Skin" is
out latest release (Nun gut, hier hat der gute Dale wohl unsere Frage nicht ganz
verstanden...)
What
was the first concert you attended?
Petra
Tell
me what kind of kid were you in school?
I
was quiet and shy and didn't hang out with many people. I made good grades but
was never popular
What
was the first band you were in?
Warrior
from 1982-83
Was
your music always focused on Christian Music?
Yes even though my critics often say that they can't find Jesus in some of my songs
How
did the band form?
My
brother Troy and I had always played music and after I left Warrior Troy and I
decided to write some songs. We recorded two projects under the band name Matrix
before forming Bride
How
long did this album take to finish?
Skin
for Skin was recorded over a two month period on the weekends
Any
favourite track on the album and why?
I
like all of the songs. It seems that the more I listen to the project my taste
changes as far as my favorite song. I really like "Fuel and Fire"
right now
How did you come up with your band name? Is there any meaning behind it?
It comes from the Book of Revelation when John saw the city of New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven. He wrote that it looked like a Bride adorned for her husband

Is
there any chance to see you guys in over here in Europe sometime?
Not any time soon. Troy and I are working on some new material and my wife has had an illness that we are dealing with. I want her to get her health back before I start traveling again
Tell
us any highlights or painful stories from your Tour/shows?
I
remember singing shows where my voice was raw. Those are painful but somehow
through the grace of God I manged to always pull off the shows and no one new I
was hurting and in pain. There has only been two shows where I had to cut the
night short due to vocal problems. We have traveled a lot of miles through the
U.S. on the highways and we have always had an angel watching over us
Tell
us for which band you would love to do the opening act?
Rage Against the Machine
Let’s
talk a bit about the music biz… What do you think personally about the whole
download-thing?
It is gone too far to stop it now I suppose we should make the best of it somehow
In
our QUESTION PIT section at medazzarock.ch we’re actually asking how important
myspace for a musician really is…. Your opinion?
For
Bride myspace is very important because it puts a personal touch on our
relationship with our fans
Can
you spend a living from your music?
Not any more. I did for about 10 years but now I run a construction business

What
are the future plans for Bride?
We
will write and record a new CD and think about touring again. Right now we are
in the infant stages of writng
At
the end of our interview we sometimes have some kind of a game. I´ll give you
some words and you tell us what comes to your mind…
